OTTAWA, ON: A total of 27 Canadian entries will compete in the 2010 International Skating Union (ISU) Grand Prix series.

Twenty-eight Canadian skaters – four men, four women, five pair teams and five ice dance teams – have received their assignments for the six-competition series. The circuit makes stops in Japan, Canada, China, United States, Russia and France. Canada still has four assignments that are yet to be determined.

The series will launch in Nagoya, Japan with the NHK Trophy taking place from October 22-24, 2010. Canada will host the second stop on the circuit in Kingston, Ontario at the K-Rock Centre from October 28-31, 2010.

Athletes competing on the ISU Grand Prix circuit are awarded points based on their placement at each event.
