OTTAWA, ON: Mississauga, Ontario will welcome Canada’s best figure skaters as they arrive for the annual High Performance Camp held at the Hershey Centre from September 6-8, 2012. The camp will feature members of Skate Canada’s National Team as well as athletes named to an ISU Grand Prix assignment. Notable attendees will be World and Olympic Champions Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, two-time World Champion Patrick Chan, and reigning Canadian champions Amélie Lacoste, Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford.

“This camp is a great opportunity for our skaters to take part in a simulated competitive environment and receive feedback from some of Canada’s top officials,” said Mike Slipchuk, Skate Canada’s High Performance Director. “It helps the skaters prepare for the upcoming season and allows for final adjustments to be made to their programs.”

The high performance camp provides skaters with technical on-ice feedback and sport science initiatives to enhance their preparation for the ISU Grand Prix circuit.
